Wintery Surprise Proposal | Taylor & Allix

In the past few years surprise proposal photography has become a pretty big deal. There's a ton of planning and coordinating that goes into these types of sessions, but the warm fuzzies when she says yes really make it the most amazing moment.
So how do you keep it a secret while taking photos?
Usually these sessions involve some sneaking around and trying to look inconspicuous until the perfect moment. With it being a quieter time of year for wineries we put together the perfect excuse! Jessica and Alex at Therapy Vineyard helped me fake some Christmas themed photos for their social media content while Taylor and Allix were doing their tasting. Since I was already "working" it was pretty easy to interrupt and ask this lovely couple if they'd mind being in a few shots for the winery. Not even 5 minutes later the sun put on the most spectacular show with the snow, and it gave me the perfect excuse to beg this couple to let me do a few photos out on the deck!
The ladies at Therapy were SO amazing. They, of course, knew what was up and manage to record the entire proposal for Taylor and Allix PLUS they had bubbles on hand to toast when she said yes.
The second surprise Taylor had planned was their accommodations for the night! He had secretly packed everything they would need, and they were staying right there at Therapy's Inn. Taylor's mom had come out earlier in the day and decorated the suite with rose petals, and candles, and Therapy Vineyard had stocked the room with more sparkling wine and chocolate covered strawberries.
Honestly, it was a magical day - the perfect combination from Mother Nature, the extreme planning Taylor put into making everything perfect, the above and beyond help from the ladies at Therapy Vineyard. Congratulations you two!!
