Old Kaledan Hotel Wedding | Cori & Cale

Wedding, lifestyle

Cori & Cale | June 25 2022

I feel like this blog title should actually be "it's about damn time!". Cori and Cale have been on the books, waiting until they could say "I do" with all their family and friends, for over two years! It was my absolute pleasure to finally be able to help them celebrate properly. And boy did they.

I kicked off the day with the ladies as they sipped mimosa's and finished getting ready. With the amount of small humans that needed to be washed, dressed, and ready to go, it was a surprisingly chill (if not a little giddy) group.

When we arrived at the old Kaledan hotel for the ceremony, Cori had prepared something special for Cale and his groomsmen. One of the groomsmen passed away before the wedding, and to remember him and keep him close during the day, Cori had made special boutonnières with his picture on them. After a few emotional minutes, we had just enough time to sneak in a first look before the ceremony started. Knowing that the boys probably needed a little pick-me-up after all that, she had another special surprise planned. (See below to find out what that was)

After all the rainy days we've had this summer, the weather was absolutely perfect. Cori's oldest boy walked her down the aisle (in a KILLER suit) and her mom officiated the wedding. The ceremony was filled with laughter, love, and family.

We stopped quickly at Farm Gate Winery for a tasting before heading to the Penticton Elks Club for the reception. Now, I'm not sure if you've ever been to the Elks Club, but let me tell you that I have never seen it look as absolutely stunning as this crew made it. Tulle draped from every nook and cranny with soft fairy lights behind it. The whole room looked like we had slipped up into a sparkly cloud.

The remainder of the evening slipped by far too quickly. Heartfelt speeches, toasts, and SO much dancing. When I finally slipped away, it was with a tinge of regret that I had to finish up the night getting the day backed up, safe and sound, instead of hitting the town with this crazy bunch!

Thank you again guys, for allowing me to be a part of your celebrations, and for the few dances we snuck in at the end of the night. It's been a blast, and I'm so glad you're finally hitched!! ;)
